Our Story

As a mom, I wanted to create a welcoming space the community could use and enjoy. I opened this coffeeshop to bring people together.

My mission is simple: to support. I give back to our community, members of the military and law enforcement, and the Alzheimer's Association.

Our space is designed with all of this (and more) in mind. Whether you're meeting a friend, studying, need a spot to escape and be with loved ones, or simply unwind - this is for you to enjoy and make memories.

- Meghan Kelsey, Owner

Colleen's Room

Our meeting room space is available for your meeting or next event where you need a larger space or more privacy. But first, let me tell you a little about the meaning for this room.

My mom, Colleen, was diagnosed with Early On-Set Alzheimer’s Disease in 2011 at the age of 59. As the disease progressed, she slowly lost the ability to do normal tasks, have normal conversations, and be a part of a normal everyday life. Watching her slowly slip only increased my desire for having a safe space to take her. I wanted her to feel like she fit in and was wanted there as much as anyone else. I didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable because of the way people stared at her or to feel like she couldn’t enjoy her time in public. The disease may have taken over, but she was still very much there.

My hope is that you feel like this space can be the escape for you and your loved ones. Please come together, enjoy conversation, great company and a good cup of coffee - all while feeling relaxed and at peace. Do not worry about the crumbs or spilled drinks. Focus on your time and making memories while you’re here.

All of our employees have been trained to communicate with people living with Alzheimer’s Disease or another dementia. If you or someone you know need support or resources please visit alz.org for more information or call 800-272-3900 for a 24/7 helpline.
